AH Crafted is the fabrication studio of AH Cares LLC — a husband-and-wife workshop where an engineer and a designer build custom wood pieces for weddings, events, and brands. We don't just decorate; we engineer. Every piece is drawn, cut, and finished by hand in our shop outside Chicago.

Brings an engineer's precision to the shop — structural design, CNC programming, joinery, and the logistics of getting a large piece built, transported, and standing exactly where it should. If it has to fold, roll, or hold weight, that's Asad.

Designer's eye, dental hygienist's patience
Leads artistic direction and the details that make a piece feel finished — monograms, typography, palette, and the hand-finishing that separates custom from store-bought. Turns a client's loose vision into a drawing we can actually build.
Welcome to the Lab
“The Lab” is what we call our shop — where plywood becomes welcome signs, backdrops, and branded carts on evenings and weekends. It’s a family operation: Asad on the build, Hiba on the design, and a very small CEO (our toddler) handling morale and the occasional durability test.
How We Work
Tell us what you're picturing — a sketch, a board, or just a description. We talk through size, materials, timeline, and budget, and tell you honestly what's buildable.
We translate the idea into a drawing and a quote: materials matched to your budget, dimensions that fit your space, and a finish that matches your palette.
The build. CNC carving, cutting, assembly, sanding, and finishing — documented along the way so you can watch your piece come together.
We hand off ready to use — delivered and set up within our service area, or packed flat to fit in your vehicle if it's designed to travel.
